Everyone needs a good bookmark. So when I had the opportunity to review five name bookmarks from CrossTimber, I was excited to check them out. I also received a set of AmazingName Print Activity Sheets.
What Are These Products?
The name bookmarks are a fun way to help your child learn more about their name. On each, the recipient’s name is at the top. Then, most designs include a note about where the name originated. This is followed by the name’s meaning. At the bottom, there’s a related Bible verse.
However, there are so many different styles to choose from. When you go to order these, you’ll be amazed at all of the options. You can choose from several different themes, including Symbolic/Meaningful, People, Outdoors, Butterflies, Castles and Lighthouses, and more. You also have the option to customize these bookmarks even more by adding a ribbon or a corner design.
If you prefer, you can select a presidential quote, famous author quote, or character quality instead of a Bible verse. You also have the option to add a custom quote of your choosing for a small fee. You really can design the perfect bookmark for everyone in your life.
I found the ordering process to be fairly straightforward. However, you do need to enter the design number for each bookmark you order. So, when you find one that you love, be sure to write down the number from the upper-left corner. Then the ordering process will be simple.
The AmazingName Print Activity Sheets
My daughter Brynna really had a lot of fun with these activity sheets. There was so much variety. She had her name in mazes, crossword puzzles, and more. Some were a bit challenging for her, so I put them up until she’s older. However, most were a good fit for her skill level (kindergarten).
Here is a peek at one that we put up, since she doesn’t have quite the pencil control to do mazes this small.
And here she is showing off one of her favorites. Since we also received a digital version, we were able to print this one a couple of times since she liked coloring her name so much.
I think when she’s older, she’ll have fun with this one coloring the overlapping sections in a different color so they stand out more. These pages really will work for a large variety of ages, which is awesome.
What Did We Think of This Product?
The kids and I both really enjoyed the bookmarks. It was neat to have them personalized for each child. They liked seeing what their names meant. Many of the kids opted to use them as a bookmark in their Bibles. The others use them for books they are reading.
Most of the bookmarks are holding up pretty well, however the plastic covering has started to peel on two of them. These kids aren’t as gentle as some of the others, so that’s probably why. Here’s a look at the condition of the worst, after several weeks of being used frequently:
However, this is a problem with most bookmarks that are laminated. They do continue working, they just won’t look as nice or be as durable.
I appreciated how simple the ordering process was, and how many choices there were. I felt like I was able to select a bookmark for each of the five kids I went with that really fit their personality.
If you’re looking for a unique, customized gift, I highly recommend any of the name gifts from CrossTimber. They’re a company that strives to produce quality products.
