We’ve added a neat piece to our evening Bible time. As we’re gathered together practicing our hymn of the month, reading a short selection from the Bible (currently a Psalm) and praying, we take time to sing the chorus of Count Your Blessings.
It’s a short chorus, but one of vital importance. I want my children to count their blessings. Hey–I want ME to count my blessings. Negative thought patterns are so easy to fall into. I want to purposefully spend time before bed thinking positively on the many blessings the Lord has given us.
After the chorus, we take turns sharing something (or sometimes two or three things) that we are thankful for. Sydney is even joining in.
