Well, Bryan worked Sunday on taking the vinyl lettering off our bus. We can tell you several things that don’t work (vinegar rub, spraying on cleaner, etc.)
But thankfully, I’m able to tell you something that did work fairly well. Heat.
Applied with a small propane torch, once the letters were heated they were fairly easy to grab and pull. The key was in learning how long to heat each one to release the adhesive before it became too hot to grab.
A few letters were stubborn and didn’t want removed after being there for 17 years. But with a little help from a putty knife and/or a razor blade and they were soon off.
We are just thankful to all be together in the road again!
