When the local school got rid of their merry-go-round many years ago, it ended up at my parents’ house. It’s old, and rusty, but oh so much fun!
It’s one of the best inclusive playground toys for Owen. He can climb on and sit in the middle and get spun to his heart’s content. It’s a great sensory activity. The other kids push him, and play fun games on their own.
They ride horses, see how fast they can run, and try to grab shoes that they kick off onto the grass. What a blast! I love it when they can all play together and have fun. Owen giggles so much when he goes fast–such a speedster.
We will have to walk over and play on this more often. I get a nice workout pushing, and get some of my own giggles out playing with my precious kids.
If you are looking for another way to play with a wide span of ages and abilities, I recommend a merry-go-round!
