I know that much of the US is dealing with extra snow. But…here at the farm, we’re seeing many signs of spring. The pussy-willows are budding at the creek, the grass is starting to grow again, and the chickens are laying eggs!

It’s been so nice to be able to send the kids out to play. They are burning off a lot of energy that they stored up over the winter months. The bikes have been drug out of the barn, the balls are making an appearance (and NOT in the living room!), and play school sessions are being held on the porch. Jeff, Ellie and Sydney make quite a team, and they’d stay out there all day if I’d let them. Simon wants to be a part of the group too, but first he has to learn that when he’s outside, he can’t just randomly head to Grandma’s across the street. He’ll be there next year, but for now he’s enjoying his time being out with Mom or Dad.

Is spring springing where you are? It sure is here.
Any garden plans in the works? We’ve got a few ideas bubbling that I’ll share in a later post.
Like you, I’m also excited to start gardening again. I’m expanding the strawberry patch this year. I also want to plant more blueberries. And I’m going to get creative and paint the garden shed vibrant colors! We leave Palm Springs Friday, so by next week I’ll be out in the garden to toil in the soil. Much love.
Your gardening plans sound wonderful! I hope you enjoy your trip and have safe travels. You’ll have to send us a picture of your shed once it’s painted, the kids would love to see the bright colors. We love you!!
