Do you ever feel discouraged?
I do.
There are only so many hours in a day, and I usually try to jam too many activities into those hours.
Thankfully, my dad has been a source of encouragement. It’s a benefit of multi-generational living that I didn’t expect. It seems that just when I need it most, Dad will come out and give me a hug and tell me what I good job I do with the kids.
Or how proud of me he is for the writing I’m doing.
When I’m cleaning up an Owen mess for the fifth seventh time that day, he pats my shoulder and smiles, while helping to keep Brynna from eating my sweepings.
He seems to always know just when I need a little pick me up. Sometimes he even brings chocolate with him. I really like that.
Encouragement is a huge benefit of a multi-generational household. Even though I’m an adult, I’ll always be Dad’s little girl–and he looks out for me. It’s a special relationship, and I love him so much.
Thanks for the encouragement Dad!
Have you found encouragement in your multi-generational house as well? I’d love for you to share!
