Did you notice the makeover that Maggie’s Milk got this week? I was so excited to snag a Black Friday special for a blog makeover from Blogelina (aff. link).
Blogelina handled the new look on my Lisa Tanner Writing site as well. I love how much more professional my sites look now, especially on mobile devices!
New Blog Makeover & New Plans
To compliment my new makeover, I’m going to be making some changes here on Maggie’s Milk to make the site more user friendly. Right now, I have category overload. It’s gotten too complicated and I have duplicate categories with slightly different spelling. Yikes!
So I’ve been spending time really focusing in on my blog and what I want to share here. With three different blogs, I wanted to really have a purpose for each. That way I’m not writing overlapping content, and my readers will know what to expect.
When I started Maggie’s Milk, it was mostly an online journal of what the family was doing. It was a way to stay in touch with family and share some tips for living life as a large family down on the farm.
Now my online world has grown, and it’s time to make some changes accordingly. Here on Maggie’s Milk, I’ll continue posting at least once a week. As I get time to revise my categories, you’ll see these ones (with their subcategories) going forward:

Homeschool Curriculum Review
As part of my homeschool category, I’ll occasionally be sharing reviews of some of the materials we use. I’m excited to share choices that are easy to use in a large family with a crazy schedule!
Pictures
I used to share a weekly picture roundup to share some adventures that we were having. While I’m not yet ready to commit to these weekly again, I do want to get better at sharing pictures. It makes the blog more personable, and it gets me better at actually taking pictures!
I’m Excited for the Changes!
I’m super excited about the changes that’ll be happening around here. I’ve had this blog for a long time, and I’m looking forward to honing in on what makes it different from all the other gazillion blogs out there.
Thanks for sticking around with me through the years! If there’s anything you’d like to see more of, I’d love for you to share in the comments. After all, I want to deliver the content my readers want.
