What Is This Product?
An oversized paperback book, this resource is chock full of incredible information. There are over 250 pages, with tons of images. It’s written by Michael Kanis, who has really done a lot of research to put this book together.
Each page is full of historical data and information, but it doesn’t read like a dry textbook. It’s very interesting and really pulled me in.
What Is This Book About?
When I first dove into this book, my mind started remembering the movie National Treasure. I felt like we were searching for truth and clues in the unique design of the seal.
The more I read, the more I began to appreciate how much of a Christian heritage our country was founded on. In today’s society, it’s so easy to believe the history rewrites that have been happening for decades. But, when you start to look at facts and analyze sources from the time, you can plainly see the truth.
This book is not a light read. There are 24 chapters, and each of them dive deep. There’s a good balance of text and pictures on each page, which makes it easy to find stopping point.

I want my kids to know the wonderful heritage, and to understand the freedom that we have here in America. I am looking forward to sharing this book with my kids when they get older. It will be a great foundational book for our future American history studies.

How Did We Use This Book in Our Homeschool?
During the last few weeks, I have been the one reading this book. When I first received it, I thought it’d be a quick read. I was wrong.
There is so much to ponder and take notes about. I’ve even been inspired to do my own research at times.
There were sections I shared with my oldest daughter and husband. I am going to have my oldest read it when I finish, and then as my younger kids reach high school age, I’ll share it with them.
What Did We Think of This Product?
This was a timely resource for me. With so much uncertainty going on in the world, it was refreshing to remember the principles our country was founded on. We are only one generation away from losing freedom, and some days I feel like we are almost there.
I feel a renewed sense of patriotism and a desire to get back to our Christian roots as a country.
I really appreciated this book, and would recommend it to anyone who is curious about the history of the US, or who enjoys reading theological material.
