And We’re Discharged!

April 8, 2015 Lisa

After surgery, Owen had a hard time keeping his temperature up and just waking up in general. He was already tired from staying up most of the night. So we stayed longer than we usually do following surgery.

But he woke up this morning and ate and drank enough to make the doctor happy, and his temperature had finally warmed up, so we are discharged!

They had Gogurt–one of Owen’s favorites!

What’d they find up there?

The foreign body

Isn’t it lovely? With all the fuzz, socks, crayons, etc. that Owen eats due to the Pica, it’s an object that resembles a broken diaper tab and a section of diaper that gets stuck.

But, praise the Lord it’s out. We are so thankful for the help my parents were able to provide. They watched five of the kids, provided a texting partner while we were waiting (thanks Mom!) and milked the cows and tackled farm chores this morning. We are blessed indeed!

And Brynna? She slept almost all night. I woke her up once to feed her, but she fell right back asleep when she was done.

It’ll be nice to see the other kids when our drive home is done.

Have a lovely day–I’m hoping to catch a nice nap!
